Solved Stuck in Unidentified network

I'm using Windows 7 Proffesioal and the Network and sharing page indicates I've joined my network and have wireless and LAN connections to Netgear router, but am unable to select Home Group as title is in black and not blue as indicated for a link on the Network and Sharing page. Checked all IP addresses are correct on Laptop and Router and appropriate Firewalls are correct.
I am able to connect to user shared files on other network computers.
My Laptop has no internet access as i can not disconnect unidentified network and select Home Group.
All computers on Network have the same name MSHOME.
The Netgear Router does work with ip6 and ip4 protocol as everything was working ok for the last 6 months.
The other 2 computers on the Network are connected to the internet via the Router and working fine.
Any help on how to resolve the problem would very much be appreciated.
This problem has just occurred after switching my Laptop on this morning, it has worked fine for the last 6 months, and i haven't changed anything.

Welcome to the forum. OPen a cmd prompt then type

ipconfig/all

tracert 194.119.131.66

post results

also post an ipconfig /all from a working pc

Thanks for reply and sorry for delay, hopefully uploaded attachments ipconfig/all is Laptop that has problem and ipconfigallpcdell is other desktop computer connected to network.

Must go to bed now very late: and will be on again tomorrow.

There is no default gateway set on the laptop so it wont get out to the net

my suggestions was
- clean ALL TEMP folders, PREFETCHING FILES before u proceed with troubleshootings as follows

* go to NETWORK setting and profiles, delete and re-instate ALL de network such as client microsoft network, topologies as well all related netwwork profiles. left behind ONLY ipv6, ipv4.. SET them to DYNAMIC or STATIC value. RESTART ur pc after that!

* go to DOWNLOAD, complete internet repair ver 2852, DONE WITH THAT!

* RESET and OBSERVE UR HOST files at windows "etc" menu, de best using tool like NETADAPTER REPAIR, tick de "CLEAR HOST FILE", this to ensure ur HOST doesnt contaminated with external modifications.

Hi Sumuria,

Sorry for the long delay in replying to your solution, i've also received your emails for a reply.

Your solution to check the Gateway settings was correct and i'm pleased to say i'm now back on the net with no furher problems.

I can'nt believe i hadn't entered this before or how it got removed in the first place, maybe finger trouble on my part
