Hi all, I'm overwhelmed with this issue as I have been dealing with it for about 3 months now. Tried all sorts of things from this and other forums. I have an HP dv7-3160us laptop with Windows 7 Home premium.
I have deleted and reinstalled drivers on my Realtek and Qualcomm adapters.
Tried all sorts of things in cmd.
I have uninstalled Bonjour.
I have tried tons of things but nothing fixes this issue.
I have a gateway 2wire moden and no router with this laptop, a desk top and 2 tablets. The desktop experiences the same thing only sometimes but the tablets and phones are fine.
Let me know what other information you need.
I'm sick of it. I'm mostly tied to a wired connection.

Here is my cmd ipdonfig information:

To cut a long post short bluegirl I am assuming you are trying to wifi the computer?? and you can only connect via Ethernet cable?

I cannot find the drivers for the WLAN for 7 in the HP site only it is telling me that drivers are downloaded via Windows Updates in 10. So where exactly are you getting your drivers from?? The Windows feature via control Panel in my mind is weak at best so you need to go to the HP site.

An option is go here and ask Home - HP Support Forum

So to fidn out which one you have then try this
Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic. In my pic the section (Nuvoton) with VBATT is a dead give away you are in the section for the rail voltages. There are other section titles and one that pops up often is ITE
Now the voltage on the different rails have to be within 5% =+/- of what is required or the machine will not work properly if at all.
See this for the rail voltage info
PSUs 101: A Detailed Look Into Power Supplies (Section 2.)
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each small square with + in it on the section the components are in and then click on the individual component/s (it will highlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. See pic for example.

Use PART B: and check out the network section see my pic
