Is the second drive (80G) clean?

This will clean and format your 80G disk.

- Detach your windows disk (60G) from the MB (take out the power connector from the disk). Very important.
- Boot from your win 7 installation disk, go to Repair and launch the CMD window.
- Type the commands below one at a time and press Enter after each one:

diskpart
list disk

Make note of the Disk # (ex: Disk 0) for the 80G HDD

- Type the commands below one at a time and press Enter after each one. Substitute # in the first command with the actual disk # from step above. For example: select disk 0.

select disk #
detail disk (this is to verify that you selected the correct disk before using "clean" below)
clean
create partition primary
format fs=NTFS quick
assign
list volume
exit

Shut down
Attach the your windows disk (60G) to the MB
Boot

Thank so much and I will get to the update of my profile shortly my apologies for not having it done. I was at wits end. At the time of install it was not clean. Had a few programs but as my C drive was quickly filling up and (and not sure why)
As I would always be deleting unused documents and programs and tried to keep at least 3-7g min free and open on drive. I chose to install the other drive as mentioned it wourked fine for a couple but then boom nothing. It recognizes the 80g but the 60 which is my c primary no longer sees it even when it's to detect shows no drive.

How can you see the 80G drive and not the 60G that has Windows and you're booting from?
Are you sure you're booting from the 60G drive?

By now, detach the 80G disk and boot from the 60G disk
- Open Explorer, right click on the C: drive, Properties - Tools - check now - auto fix errors - it will ask if you want to schedule a disk check on next boot - yes.
- Reboot
- Let it check the disk. Pay attention on the results. If it find bad blocks or bad clusters, your disk is dying.
