Hello Folks,
Just replaced a HD and was able to restore a very old (2011) Windows 7 image from an external hard drive but have not been successful logging in. The login window only presents 'other user' - I was expecting it to display my user name. I have tried many old passwords without success. A few questions:
1) Is the 'Other User' prompt an indication the system image was captured before my account was created?
2) Assuming the restored image knows of my account, is there a way to reset the PW without a PW reset disk?
Thanks in advance,
Barry
