Suddently mi pc has no sound

Hello, today I was using my pc and suddently shut down, actually, it was on but the screen got black, after I rebooted it sound stop working.

Windows does not detect the connection when I unplug and plug the headset.

I reinstalled my audio drivers and reboot many times but wont work, and the controller information says that is no problem with the device.

I have a mother asus m5a99x evo r2.0

Try:
Uninstall the soundcard software if there is any
If it is an add-on sound card remove it from PC.
If on-board go into BIOS and disable.
Download and run (as admin) Drive Cleanup Drive Tools for Windows
Restart PC
Scan registry with CCleaner
Enable or plug the soundcard and boot
Reinstall driver/software

I installed ubuntu un a pednrive and loaded it but it does'nt work there either (sound)

One last recommendation: Go into BIOS (setup menu as you start PC) and load defaults (either first menu or exit menu)

If this doesn't work either, then I guess you have a hardware issue. Wonder what others will tell.

The strange thing is that in bios i dont have an audio device, just usb, net, ...

Forget that, I was to stupid to find it

Did you try loading defaults in BIOS?

Also try unplugging PC from the mains for a few minutes and re-plug it.

Yes, I tried both but still not working, I think my onboard sound card just burn.
