Do you actually see the users when you start up the computer or are they just folders?

If you see them , see this tutorial.

Then I wouldn't worry about them. If they really annoy you check whether the folders are empty, if they are you are allowed to delete them exept the ones that are actually the ones for the accounts.

And I'd probably run a virus scan or something. If you didn't create the folders it's possible a virus may have.

Which partition or disk are you booting from?
Normally the Boot partition/disk is the "C" drive.
You are showing User folders on the "L" drive.
For me the User folder is only on my "C" (OS) partition.
(I don't use any external USB drives)

Can you post a screen print of Disk Management?
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/274797-disk-management-post-screen-capture-image.html

It would also be helpful and less confusing if you change the label to something meaningful.
Labels of "New Volume" don't indicate what that disk/partition is used for...

Can't help you with that, Never seen that happen before. Looks like a more common problem with Microsoft Windows Server. Probably just a delay somewhere. Do you have your computer connected to a Domain?

Windows (OS) should be in the "C" drive for an OEM PC such as your Sony Laptop.
Did you do a re-install of Windows on the laptop?

You should post a screen shot of Disk Management.
Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image

I'm not sure what you did regarding reinstall(s), but you can start by reading this tutorial for learning to do a reinstall:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html

I'm no Installation expert, but there are many experts here that will help you with any questions and issues.
I think they will need the Disk Management screen print to give you the best advice.

If you want to setup your computer as it should be with W7 on the C drive you should download Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD. and burn it on a CD.

Use Partition Wizard to boot your computer and delete the L partition.
Next move the D, E and J partitions to the right side where you deleted L.
Then extend the C drive into the space you now have available from moving the other partitions.
Use Partition Wizard to format C, be sure it is NTFS, not FAT32!

Now refer to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html to install W7.
By the way, Step 1 in this tutorial has a link to download the iso file for W7, you didn't have to purchase it!
