surrond configuration display

hello I just bought a new monitor I have a evga gtx 770 for some reason the surround configuration is grayed out. I have a hdmi monitor and a dvi d monitor plug in.

I know of no way to do a surround sound with out a surround sound system. Therefore it will not be available.
