Glad you got it sorted. I imagine you did get some good experience weeding it out manually. Although this isn't the safest approach (make sure to keep a sharp eye on your PC's behaviors), it does help you to understand how/where these viruses infect.

I was faced with a similar task a while back, without any option but to weed out the infection. I learned quite a bit from that experience.

I posted a link in post #12 which will show you how to make a system image. This can be invaluable when something like this strikes.
