Hello,

I have just switched my network ID from a company network to a private network. I cannot find my data anymore. Where are they stored? How can I get them back??
Thank you in advance.

Yes, I went to this PC / Properties / Computer name, domain and workgroup settings / Change settings / Network ID

There I changed from this computer is part of a business network to this is a home computer.

All my date was a on the computer in my documents and desktop under my username. Problem is when i restarted the computer with the change, I get only one option to login which is administator. My old username is not accessible anymore

Do you think I lost my data? Or I just need to find a way to reconnect to my old username? How do I do that?

Was the data local or on the domain often its redirected to your home on the domain. Is the user profile for the domain still on the pc you could take ownership of the folder to get access to the data

The data was local and not on the domain. The laptop was totally disconnected from the domain.

Where can I find the user profile? Can I reverse the process to access the data?

Look at c:\users is the domain login name there? if it is and you try to open the folder you will get access denied you will need to take ownership of all the folders then you can get to the data Take Ownership Shortcut - Windows 7 Help Forums
