Hi,
I have downloaded 228 mb SRTool and then ran it. It installed Initialization is done and HOt fix install is hanging or appeared to be hanging or continuing.
May i know is this normal. When i went to check checksur.log , which could be opened, i saw the 4kb file trying payload fix for sample windows mp3 files. How to watch what it is doing. I could see checksur running in Process explorer application, but do not know when it will end. Any idea on this would be appreciated. How much hours it will run. It takes more than chkdsk

I have known the tool take as long as 5 hours to run to completion - it all depends on how much work it has to do, and the speed of the machine.

Please post the CheckSUR.log file - and the CBS logs
