system repair wont work windows wont load

not sure if im in the right place
but computer wont do anything but load up with options to do system repair or whatever its called but it says it cant fix the problem i dont have disc for it or any pw's im on a reg user account it wont load in safe mode but by doing different things i have access to do various things but not sure what or how to lol i had issues before and got them fixed by using sites similar to this any help is appreciated

Might be a failing Hard drive. Get to your bios and see if there is any diagnostics there to do a hard drive test. On some motherboards its delete on others its F2. If there is no diagnostics on the bios i would make a USB bootable diagnostics and do that.
I just had the same problems and found out the hard way that it was a hard drive.

on what screen would i see that option it wont let me run any sort of test its allowing to hit f8 f12 things like that

hit f8 or f12... one of those 2 is the bios.. you know when your in there cause its old timey looking font.. look for a diagnostic. and let me know if you see one

Keep in mind; like the article that link leads to says; your bios could be different than the one thats pictured; especially if its a custom built system.

Forget the BIOS, the options in there are limited to locate the issue.

when i hit f12 windows boot manager comes up
says choose OS to start or press TAB to select at this point before pressing TAB only option i have is microsoft windows vista
at bottom it says hit f8 to specify advanced option

So this is a Vista installation? What happens when you select Vista?

Download bootable Partition Wizard, write it to USB and boot the Vista machine from it. Which partitions are visible? take a photo so we can have a look?
