System restore not creating points?

I was wondering if my System restore is working properly.

I wanted to roll back a couple of days as i installed java to get a program to run but there seemed to b a problem a few days later so i went to use system restore but there was only one restore point created and was after the java had been installed so i couldn't take it back to before then.

I thought automatic restore points were created or is this not the case?

I believe Windows creates a auto restore about every week.
Some Windows Updates will create restore points and sometimes deleting things will create restore points.
You can also create your own restore points when you think you need them.

Thanks for the links.

Mine is turned on but my only concern was the limited availability of the restore points they only seem to go back one week nothing before then, is that normal?

I did set some restore points maybe a month ago but cant see those?

You might not have enough space dedicated for restore points.
