I need help please. I'm at Install Windows: Select the driver to be installed. My options are

-Local Disk (c: )
-CD Drive (D: )
-Boot(x: )

The problem is when I clicked either Local Disk (C: ) and Boot(x: )

it gives me a message, "No signed device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correcct drivers and then clicked ok."

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals, Boot into BIOS setup to see if there is an EFI Boot Disk in BIOS Boot order. If so remove it, set DVD drive first to boot. If EFI BIOS also set to Legacy BIOS.

Then boot into installer DVD or flash stick, at first screen Press Shift + F10 to open a Command Box, type:

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SEL DIS 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT

Next click Install Now to Clean Install Windows 7 to partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.

In addition read over these steps to understand the tools and methods which work best to get and maintain a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. The steps are the same for retail.

I got it.

I have to say to everyone, for Asus A52f users, let it boot Window language preference screen before pressing Shift and F10.

Moving forward to the next step now. Thanks again.

Isn't that the "first screen" after booting into installer?

Let us know how it goes. Read over the steps again while it's installing so you are ready.

Everything went welll sir, except In my hard drive, all I see is Local Disk (c: ) with 19.2 GB, where can I get that 100 GB that we created back.

Here is an image to clearify, I went to disc management already, but I don't know where to go from there. Again, it's there, but not showing up on My computer under Hard Disc Drive

Also the brightness is an issue. I turn it all the way up, and it's still pretty dim

You made the 100gb partition as suggested but installed Win7 to the space to its right. Were you paying any attention to where it was being installed at the time?

There are two ways to solve this. One is to start over, boot the installer, choose Custom install, then on the drive selection screen delete both partitions and create one big one, or just click Next and the installer will do it for you after deleting both partitions. These steps are illustrated here: Clean Install Windows 7

Or you can install free Partition Wizard bootable CD, rightclick on WIndows 7 partition to Resize, side the right border to the left to make it 200mb, click OK,

Then rightclick C to Resize, slide the left border to the left to take up the space you just made, click OK, then Apply. This video shows how it's done: Partition Wizard Move/Resize Partition Video Help.

You'll may need some extra software for your Samsung model. But first continue following the steps in the tutorial to install all Important and Optional Updates to completion - there will be several rounds with restarts. Once that's done look in Device Manager for any missing drivers and import them from the Samsung Support Downloads webpage for your model.

Then test the PC for awhile to see if it is missing any functions as there is sometimes extra software that needs to be imported to install to regain certain functions like Function Keys, Touchpad gestures, Keyboard backlighting, etc. We can help you determine this at that time.

I fought with my computer for hours before I finally found this thread. I did not have an account so I registered just to say thank you for posting all this helpful information.

Windows won't boot from SSD

Had the same problem. Looked in the repair log and the problem was a bad Symantec update. A file that went with Norton Fire wall was corrupt.

Rhirtix,
I suggest what Bare Foot did.
You have started the wrong way and could take a long time to fix it.
Restart from scratch:
- Detach all HDDs
- Attach the SSD to SATA 0 port
- On BIOS, configure SATA to AHCI , not IDE mode.
- Boot from the Windows 7 install media.
- Go to Advanced, erase all partitions on the SSD and then install Win 7. It will format and also align.

After installation:
TRIM
Type this cmd
fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify

It will give you one of two results, either a 0 or a 1. A zero indicates that TRIM is enabled correctly, a one means that it is not. If you have a TRIM-compatible SSD, but find that Windows 7 hasn't enabled the command, you can easily do so by running this command:
fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0
