Task Automation

Hi

I'm looking for a software that can automate a couple of key strokes at start up of Windows - 7 64bit (something like programmable macro), any suggestions please, freeware would be nice but retail is a possibility

I don't know any Steph, but there may well be some.
I do know many keyboards have keys/combos that can be made to do your will.

Snapfiles shows quite a few macro freewares:
Search for freeware and shareware downloads at SnapFiles.com

For programming it rather than just recording and playing back keystrokes and mouse clicks, you could try either AutoIt3 or AutoHotkey_L. AutoHotkey_L is a bit more powerful for hotkeys. But the syntax is more daunting than AutoIt3. AutoIt3 is very much like Basic. Both are free and have forums where you can post your scripts and ask for help.

Hmm, I wonder if you could automate making a wall/sig? Grab a couple of images, press some keys and voila!

Hi all!
I can strongly suggest you domaxapps.com, it is something completely diferent. You can easily automate any task you want on your computer and sometimes it takes less than a minute to set up one complex and dynamic task on your PC. So far it saved me months of repetitive work!

It has come a long way recently via Autohotkey_L with direct support for objects etc..

I confess I haven't gotten into the object designing part. But stuff like associative array support is built in. No need to use Scripting.Dictionary.
