Test: Is Windows 7 64-bit really better than 32-bit?

It is widely known that you must select the 64-bit version of Windows 7 if you want to use more than four gigabytes of memory. But does the 64-bit got better performance? Get the answer here when we let Windows 7 fight amongst themselves.

That is a really interesting article. They left me with a question though. I wonder how much of that performance gain is because of the 3 channels of memory from the 1366 socket I7 as opposed the just shear volume of memory available.

I wonder if my 1156 socket I7 with 8gb or ddr3 would perform as well in their tests as the 1366 socket I7 with 6gb or ddr3.
