Good day,
I am trying to reinstall a game I previously had installed on a external drive(G: drive). The external drive crashed, appears to be permanently AWOL as well!
I suspect this is where the hangup is when I try to install the game to a new drive.
I have since add a new internal SSD (B: drive) but when running the game setup, I am prompted to either repair the existing installation or remove the game.
If I am guessing correct, windows? is still looking for the G: drive for this install even though the G: drive is no longer.
I removed all related folders I could find, used advanced system care in hopes to cleanup the registry. But, when I try to run the setup for the game (LOTRO) I receive this message after either choice of repair or remove:
"The drive or UNC share you selected does not exist or is not accessible. Please select another."
Problem is, there is no other choice, after selecting ok, the setup closes. I am never given the prompt for which drive to install to.
I blame Sauron...just easier that way!
Is there a way for me to unassociate the old install from the G: drive that is gone?
Any insight is appreciated,
Robert
