The Witcher EE not working

I'm usually able to solve any video game issue I have, and have gotten just about every game I play to work flawlessly on windows 7 64bit except this one.

The error I'm getting is this one, and yes, the dvd is in the drive.

I'm running on a fresh install (courtesy of getting fallout3 to work), and have tried the following:

Compatibility mode (vista, vista w/ admin, xp, xp w/admin)
Re-installed on c: drive, then on d: drive.

At moment try using the No DVD patch worked for me ok. Or wait for 1.5 patch

Will steam let you activate the game with the retail code? (they do sometimes, which will allow you to bypass any cd check)

Aside from that, like the poster above me said, download a fixed exe from a place like gamecopyworld

Hey go to the guys who make the copy protection for that game called Tages and download their latest drivers :

Does installation of the new Tages driver resolve the issue?
