Solved These 2 updates keep showing up.

Anyone keep getting these ?

They`ve shown up for a few days now, say they install successfully, but sure enough, they show up again.

And what ticks me off is, I don`t even use IE11

kb3032359 was released 3-11 :/
And hasn't returned the other one I don't show kb3021952 ?
Oops yea I do on 3-10 and 2-10
I believe I have installed and removed ie11 in those time frames ended up rolling back to ie10 so that might be why they returned ?

Could it possibly be they just keep using the same number ? Just did a windows update check and nothing came up today.

Don`t want to hide them just yet Shawn, as they keep saying successful, so we`ll play the wait and see game.

No that is what is supposed to change the kb# for the exact security fix,
If you open ie of any version and use Alt+HA the kb# shows which is kb....2359 that I show,
If it repeatedly offers a lower than the recent I would roll back to ie10 and see if the issue continues,
After rolling back to ie10 you should only see that kb# once unless you reinstall ie11 then it might show back up.

This is a well-known issue that already has many threads devoted to it, both here and on some of the official MS forums. They are supposedly "working on a fix."

It has to do with extended Disk Cleanup removing the wrong updates.

There are many threads about this that you can search, here is my own personal thread on the issue:

Advice: get all updates installed/re-installed, DO NOT HIDE ANYTHING, then, STOP using disk cleanup to cleanup Windows Updates until they fix this.

I'm running IE10 and I had 3021952 on 2/10 - 3032359 on 3/11 only once.

I did have one repeater, Compatibility update 2952664, but Noel told me they will keep the kb# and only change the version in the kb article.

I haven't ran the extended/updates cleanup since the holidays.

Yup, note the size of both updates reoffered: 5.2mb ea

It's actually KB3023607 - Fixes TLS "Poodle" Vulnerability & was originally offered as a "child" package to Feb's KB3021952 Cumulative IE Update...but it broke many Cisco VPN's. It's also included in March KB3032359 Cumulative IE Update - Fixes 12 Vuln's including "Freak" vuln & also many non-security fixes. See DL page, actually 2 msu's if you dl/install manually:

• As long as (a) KB3032359 is listed in Installed Updates and (b) you stop using the "deepclean" (Windows Update cleanup) option when running Disk Cleanup, neither KB3032359 nor KB3021952 should be offered again via Windows Update or Automatic Updates.
• Alternately, you may hide KB3032359 & KB3021952 if still being offered as long as KB3032359 is already listed in Installed Updates

Bottom line, if you're being re-offered these 2, Win Updt Cleanup is falsely detecting KB3023607 as "superseded", don't run WUC. If KB3032359 is listed in Installed Updates (NOT History) your Internet Ex-PLODE-r is "fully" patched

Unless you are testing 10 and absolutely love it, there is no reason to go from 7 to 10.
