Hello guys, i'm thinking of changing a new case the next month after i finish my exam. The reason why i want to replace the current one because i might also consider to buy a new NVIDIA GTX graphic card, maybe GTX 580. So now my current case is small, just a normal case, it gain heat quickly, no good in vendelation, and there few days it keep Restarting itself because of over temperature of the CPU, and I did make an observation on the temperature on the Bios when i turn on the computer.
Another reason i want to change to new case because the cable is too messy, is hard to manage it, and when i want to add new RAM or anything, the cable is also one of the problem that keep me from completing it faster, waste my time.
One more is about the HDD. Currently i have about 4 hard disk, which my current case cant fit in another one, so i buy a external case for my 1.5 TB hard disk as a temporary solution. The point is i want to have more slot for expansion too.

Well, what you guys can suggest for me? What case you guys think that can suit what i need for gaming too? You can check on my spec too if you want to know what i'm currently using now, and... I'm not really into high end gaming now as you can see on my spec, i still working on getting better hardware.

I'm thinking about the cooler master case, or you guys have any other suggestion? Should i just buy a mid or a full tower case? I'm also thinking about a full tower case in case next time i want to add more hardware, so i dont need to worry about the space.

If possible, let me know which is more worth it and cheaper, i dont have so much bugget. Thanks guys, hope to see reply soon. :)

I have a Corsair Carbide 500R that I used on my new build. It has good air flow, quiet and has room to run the motherboard power cables behind the motherboard for a cleaner installation.

For additional cable management consider a fully modular power supply.

So do you think I need to use this kind of casing for gaming or better management of hardware? I just go and take a look at the case, which i think is quite good, and it said it has integrated dust filters? Is that mean that it will filter the dust automatically?
Is there anything i should know before asking further question?

Here is the description of the 400R and 500R cases (the 400R is black, the 500R has white side panels).

There are other cases, just what I used and one to consider

Choosing a case is some what a personal decision. Looking at my specs will tell you what I have chose. Things to think on when choosing a case and my guide lines.

1. Choose a case bigger than what you need now. It just makes things easier to work with now and later.
2. Choose a case that has behind the motherboard tray wire management. Helps with looks and air flow and keep the harness out of the way.
3. Choose one that makes it easy to get to the back of the cpu cooler mounting.
4. Choose one that has great air flow and the ability to improve upon if needed or desired. Incoming air filters preferred.
5. Choose one that has the front panel with the connections you want or has the ability to add them.
6. Choose one (my choice) with a bottom mounting for the power supply. It keep the power supply away from the motherboard and allows for easier and neater harness management.
-----------------------------
Options to look for and things to check.
1. Movable drive bays. You will be able to remove some of them if not needed or mover them around inside the case for better air flow.
2. Check the measurements. Some so called Full Size cases are smaller than some Mid Size cases. Don't be fooled by the name. I also consider the weight. Cases made out of the same material a heaver case will be stronger and in my opinion better quality.
3. Tool less cases are very handy but not necessary.
4. Choose a brand name that has a good reputation.
Keeping those things in mind when you do your research. It will take some time.
5. A modular power supply is a plus when building a computer.

Hmm, i have read all what you said. the brand doesnt matter right? Well, can you recommend some case from cooler master, or whatever is it, for me and have the specification that you mention?
For instant, i can afford price that is more or less than the C/MASTER STORM SCOUT CHASSIS, so anything from that range to higher price should be okay, so any recommendation and have what you mention above?

NZXT M59-001BK M59 Gaming Mid Tower Case - ATX, mATX, Baby AT, Black 1 $ 49.99 $ 49.99

Purchase this wonderful case at Tiger Direct. Came with 2 big fans and one was LED lighted. Front of case had blue led lights and side cover had a smoked Plexiglas see thru insert. I researched a lot of cases, but for the price and quality this case really was great! I use it for a gaming case and also do graphic design. Case is far from a cheap case and I wondered how they made a profit from selling it that low. It is at Newegg for 49 bucks

My last build I used the 400R and really like it. It can have up to 10 fans, so lots of ventilation. The bottom has a filter for the PSU and one fan. The front also has some filtering but the side does not. They do have filters that you can buy also. Here are a few pictures of my rig.

Hello ;

I am using Cooler Master 690 II plus chassis . It has a room for up to 3 vga cards, high-end CPU coolers, top or bottom mount water cooling radiator. It also features much improved airflow with oversized mesh and enough space for up to 10 fans. I have installed 6 in mine . Maintenance will be a easy with the tool-free drive bays and CPU cooler retention hole.

I'm sorry for the short reply, i'm currently have my pc take to repair at my friend's house, so cant type much using a phone, again sorry about that.
Well, i have look through the case you guys suggest to me and you guys also posted some photo or the case, which i think is awesome too, and i'm still considering which one i like the most and should get it.

And from what i check, most of the case you guys show here have tool free driver bay right? I even check on the case on the main site of cooler master, notice that most of the case have the tool free driver bay for easier installation or hard disk and so on. And most of the case also have included fans when we buy it right? Or some case just say that we can install how many fans but didnt come with the case?

I mean, the description did say the rear the side or whatever have how many fans etc right?

I'll like to buy fans too if the case doesnt have fans? Well, because my room is quite hot without switching on the air conditioner, so the case and the hardware gets heat up quickly too. I need good ventilation too.

As you have notice there are many good choices in cases. You will have to do your homework to decide which one. Don't get in a hurry because their are many to select from. When it comes to fans one word, (Noctua) if they make the size needed. When you get your choices down to about 3 or 4 cases post them here and we will be able to help you with the pluses and minuses of each one. I took me over a week and lots of reviews to decide on my case. Remember that the proper case and power supply are the roots of the happy computing tree.

I think that the COOLER MASTER Elite 431 Plus Mid Tower Computer Case is enough for me? What you guys think about this case?

May i know is 3.5 drive bay mainly only for hard disk? What about the 5.25 drive bay? Is it also can use for hard disk also?

So I don't go off the deep end. Reading the OP's post #6 I got the impression that price was not a object. Mual can you give us a price range you can work with? I like in the HAF brand the Cosmo II but it is priced around #300.00. That is the reason I don't have one.

pedroc1999, currently i'm using 3 hard disk, all from Western Digital, which if i'm not wrong, all is 3.5 inch? Just a normal size 1 to 2 TB hard disk. There are three inside my case now, but is there any way to add more if the slot on the motherboard is full and cannot connect more hard disk? I heard that there is a way that can make one cable to connect to four? I not sure what the guy told me already.

So, the 3.5 drive bay is not usually for normal size hard disk? The 5.25 drive bay, most of the people will use it to add more hard disk?

What you mean by just racks? No other useful place for the racks?
Are those racks are the 3.5 or the 5.25 drive bay?

Hello LayBack Bear, yes the money is not a problem for me, i could get it if i want in the future. Now i already own the cooler master elite 431 plus cause my father said he'll pay and tell me to use it first. So i was thinking in the future if i want to change, and the money is not the problem, which one you will recommend?
I think that the HAF full tower is enough for me already, dont need the Cosmo II. That one maybe dont need for me. I wont use so much of the case either.

sorry my mistake, 5.25 is for dvd drives etc
3.5" is for NORMAL hdds
2.5" are for smaller hdd/ssds

using the 500r as my example,

in the picture below, section A is visible to the outside (for accces to cd players) and some hdds can be put inside too

section B is solely for hdd/ssd and is not visible for the outside so it hasnt got accces

what you mean is a Molex to HDD adapter, these can be used for a single moles CABLE TO BE USED AS UPTO 4 DIFFRENT HDDS
