i built this computer over 3 years ago and have been running on a valid oem win 7 pro lic. 3 days ago it started reporting not genuine. belarc reports the correct lic. have run defogger, combofix, jrt, full mbam (9 hrs), rkill, roguekiller, tdsskiller, tfc, adwcleaner, have NOT run tweaking .com yet, have NOT tried to re-enter key... don't know if this is relevent but the desktop background went black around the same time, have NOT tried to restore... the computer specs should be in my profile... here is the report:

i got it fixed -
after doing everything i could find in related threads... ran "slui.exe 4" and re-entered the key... still said invalid code and clicked on validate online... after waiting about 3-5 min. clicked the refresh icon in firefox and in about 30 sec came up:
Welcome to Windows!

Because Windows installed on your PC is genuine, enjoy the security, reliability and protection it provides.

the mesage in the lower right corner of the desktop "this copy of windows is not genuine" disappeared... checked the system page in control panel and it has the genuine microsoft icon in the lower right...

good luck

You have/had a Trusted Store Tamper - most often caused by malware.

I see you've already run many tools to remove malware, so hopefully you've got the cause eliminated now - if not, I suggest that you consult a specialist malware cleaning forum.
