Thanks Bill Just saw this today. have been on a little vacation. My wife and I and 12 other friends rented a cabin in Vermont this weekend. we had so much fun. We spent two days with friends that I will miss dearly when we move. It's bittersweet. getting back to NC and seeing family more often, but not getting to see the friends that we made in Boston as much.

Back to work like a zombie.

I have just spoken to Mum on the phone and Dad is having the operation now as I post this. Everything is OK and I have managed to do everything that Mum told me to do. All being well they should be coming home tomorrow, so not very long now. I have to sign-on this afternoon and I'm at a friends home this evening so I get a good supper. Also we have had a dusting of snow, but it is melting. They are forecasting more snow all around the country, but hopefully we will miss out and I hate the stuff.

i hope you've picked up that laundry in the kitchen!

having completed the list you were left, see if there is anything else that needs doing that wasn't on the list.
like clean the oven, or the windows.

It may take days to adjust, and as you found out its the opportune time to get an infection so gorge on nutrition, guzzle orange juice.

I hate long flights so much that when I fly to Australia I stop for two weeks in Hawaii each direction. (It really irritates the pilots. )

I have spoken to both of my parents and Dads operation went really well and they are all happy with the results etc. All being well they will be coming home tomorrow arriving early afternoon. The Hospital will arrange the transport home.

That's good to hear, Carl. I hope your Dad realises that he will have to take things easy for a few weeks when he gets home.

He already said on the phone this evening at he does not want to walk far as it is sore.

Make sure you take really good care of him when he arrives at home as the first couple days
will aid in his re-hab.
Gracie will have to take second place for a few days just make sure your dad is comfortable and has everything
he needs close by.

They are on their way home as I post this, so I will see them a bit later this morning or early afternoon depending on the traffic and it is about 30 to 40 miles from Brighton to Battle.But it is all main road which helps.

thats good, make sure you have fresh milk and bread in for their return. save anyone going out later.
