It took almost 4 days to re arrange all the stuff in the new house.
The new place is quite good. Right from railway station to grocery market, everything is nearby.

Is it closer to work or do you still have the long drive?

Hey Jerry, earlier it took 2 hours to reach office, now it takes about 75 minutes. So yes, a bit closer.

I eat hot peppers most every day. If thing go well I will grow enough to hold me over a winter. I took some of the seeds form the peppers and froze them and plated them this spring. I have no idea whether they will grow or not. The frozen seed have grown for me before but no one knows for sure. I planted them in the front yard,side yard, and back yard in flower beds. Any place that gets sunlight.
I use many and I mean many spices of all kinds but the one that people forget is White Pepper. A few shakes of that does wonderful things to food.

Today I picked up my bargain new car.

I am changing positions at work in the next couple of weeks and I no longer need to use the company van, so I set about finding a cheap car that was is good condition.

It's a Chrysler Neon RT 2.0ltr, 77K on the clock, Full service history, 11 months Mot, full leather, air con, 5 disc CD. And the paintwork is in very good condition.

I managed to find it locally from a private seller only a couple of miles down the road from where I live.

And the best bit, I got it for £700

I know it's nothing special, but at the price I think it's a reasonable car that should do me well for a while.

Thanks, and the transition from a broken van too, the van chucked the fan belt around xmas, the fan belt found its way into the cambelt and wrecked the whole head, the boss got it repaired, I got it back at it was running half the power it had before, turns out all the injectors need replacing too at a cost of £1000, he has not been too keen on doing it, so I have been driving it for months with it being pretty much like a snail.

I hand the keys for the van to the new guy on Friday, so he can have some fun driving it NOT.
I will be very glad to see the back of it!

No, just kidding. The barman from my local pub paid today his dues, Bayern München won Borussia Dortmund last Saturday on 2013 UEFA Champions League final, I won the bet: One bottle Talisker Storm.

Suggestion; have the camshaft timing checked. The cam belt can be off a couple or more of teeth (cogs) and through the injector timing and the cam timing off which would make a lead sled out of the van. This belt actually times the camshaft to the crankshaft. The injector timing can be picked up off of a sensor from the camshaft or crankshaft it all depends on the vehicle. Sometimes their is also a 3rd shaft the timing belt goes around that times the ignition timing. It must be install perfectly for thing to work correctly.
Many people have installed a timing belt incorrectly.

I think they checked the timing 3 times, but I have seriously lost interest in it. I will be handing the keys back tomorrow so somebody else can get it sorted if the boss wants to throw any more money at it.

Very interesting info, thanks! I know it wasn't directed at me, and it's completely useless to me at the moment, but it's good to know. I was introduced to NPR Car Talk a few months ago and it's got me very interested in these kind of things. There aren't many of us who listen to Car Talk this side of the pond

I went to a food show with my brother once. There was a hot sauce booth. 1 little drop on a plate with little squares of sourdough bread next to it. The guy had his back turned. My brother dipped the bread in the sauce, it picked it all up. He popped it in his mouth. When the booth guy turned around and saw the sauce was gone...

The look on his face as he said "you ate it all!??". My brother wasn't the same for hours, lol. A Guy
