Seems it only happens using win-7 so MS is just very weird
I haven't tried ie11 it stinks so bad I have abandoned it
There is zero chance of me ever buying or renting anything from the MS store but is exactly where I'm redirected too :/

Somehow, someway a Trojan got into one of my systems after a Repair Install.
I probable came from on of the programs I installed. The normal programs I use from what I thought was the proper place to get them.

Running scans MSE found it along with Eset. Now, how in the hell can a security scan find and remove it, and yet allow it into my system?

I installed a SSD with a Clone and scanned the Clone. It was clean.
I then upgraded to Malwarebytes 3.0 and so far things are good. Upgrading to MBAM 3.0 was simple and painless. Right over the top of the 2.0xxx without a problem.

I have been busy with this one computer for a few days trying to find out how I got the infection with out any exact results. I use the same programs on my other computer and also go to the same websites with it and their is no infection. It will probable remain a mystery. I have had a infection in years so I'm just curious.

One of the strange things is, I used RKill before the scans and it found no infections to stop in order to run the other security scans.
I forgot to save the name of the infection but it was something to do with a false Firefox. I always get Firefox from the Mozilla website and no other place.
Very strange.

Jack,

only thing i can think to check is that you have the option to scan archives set on on your AV / AM, (not always available depending on products used), malware nested inside Zips and compressed installers is a popular way to get past the vigilant user

My Windows 10 desktop machine got it's creator update today and I've been having a play around but going back in the living room now and back on my laptop, I'll have another play with the desktop probably tomorrow.

They had some hardware compatibility issues so they are waiting for those being spotted out. They had lots of problems with the Anniversary Update so just being cautious, but yes you can always get the upgrade manually.

As Keith said I could get it before but I'd sooner wait till the update says my machine is ready for it. It's OK with the desktops because they came with 10, it's been through it's Anniversary edition without problems but I let the machine tell me when it was ready. All the machines here, 4 of them, are running the anniversary edition of 10. The other desktop is hubby's and is the same as mine and came with 10, his laptop came with 7 and was upgraded to 10 then the anniversary edition. My Asus Notebook came with 8 and has been upgraded to 8.1+1 then 10 then anniversary edition.

I'm expecting hubby's machine to say it's ready to upgrade first as that's the other newest machine, not sure then which will be next his Toshiba Laptop or my Asus Notebook.

OH I do imaging but my health has not been too good lately so I'm not rushing into anything that may cause me stress not like I would have done a bit earlier in time.
