You can count on that! Although for some funny reason Germany has today a normal working day (Really! It seems Germans are not celebrating Finland's independence :sarc, for a Finn it's like St. Patrick's for the Irishmen or Fourth of July for you geeks on the wrong side of the pond

My surfing comes to an end in couple of hours, then it's a night out with our small ex-pat community and after party at our home. I shaved myself the first time since August this morning, tuxedo was picked from dry cleaners on Saturday, bowtie and socks ironed, my neighbor is at this very moment in town with my shopping list, to stock my bar. The speech is written and rehearsed; I'm the oldest one in our small ex-pat group so it's my responsibility. Angie has promised to be a designated driver, both for the car and my wheelchair (walking all night still not possible).

5 times, totally something like 18 to 20 weeks, not counting a very chaotic and blurry period of three months in Goa late 70's, a young man "searching himself" with all the other hippies Luckily I realized soon enough geeks don't make good hippies and ended the "mindblowing experiments"...

Today, Monday the 6th of December 2010 my warmly beloved and greatly missed Finland celebrates her 93rd birthday.

Good history lesson, Kari. I was aware of Finland's role and battles in WWII. A very brave and determined people.

Since she is always in pain, i'm trying to make computing a bit more pleasant for her.

It's the least i can do for her as she got me a very nice Dyson vac to keep me occupied. (true story).

Yippee I have heating as from about 5 pm today, it has been a nightmare and the plumber said it's the worst he's had to deal with but at last we have it working again, although not so good is the fact that being without heating has caused my husband to become ill.

It will probably take a couple of days for the house to become really warm again, especially after last night and the minus temps and the same again tonight brrrrrrrrrrr

Just had a delivery. Sally's comp parts arrived. Got real exited till i found upon opening it, they only put 1 ssd drive in it, instead of 2.
Awaiting the second ssd, which may not arrive till after i have flown back to work.

It is annoying, but nothing like Joan's heating problem. Warming up yet, Joan??
