I ate in Subway (Italian B.M.T.) footlong.. and all of a sudden, this girl asked if the other seat was occupied, she sat there, we talked and i got her number! apparently we're seeing each other on saturday after a conference

Today I insalled Qt Creator. I wan't to start with learning it. One pal told me that it's great program,and give me some tutorials from YouTube. ATM I'm downloading that videos,and will start learning it from Monday.

Today hubby's new base unit arrived and it's a 64 bit unit with Windows 7 Home Premium. I shall be busy tomorrow getting it all set up, still got to sort out how we're going to do the Internet connection as it doesn't have a wireless card and the ones I have are too old. So if son-in-law doesn't show up with the external wireless card it will be hubby drilling a hole in the wall to pass an Ethernet cable through

Been busy burning CD's with his photo's and his accounting work, that was fun sorting out ones that worked on the XP machine then having to make them compatible so they can be read on a Windows7 machine.

I did download the Easy Transfer program on the XP and it made the necessary savings but it didn't give me the chance to save to DVD so at present the file is saved in the Documents folder and it's just over 7 MB so wouldn't fit on 1 DVD and the program on the XP machine for burning DVD's doesn't recognise the file so I don't think I'll be bothering with that.

If you can drill and get a hard wire connection without much fuss I'd much rather go that route than wireless.

I agree with both of you, OK it's a rented bungalow, but what's one small hole

It shouldn't be too bad as the router sits on top of a filing cabinet by my desk and it's say a couple of feet from the wall that divides my office from hubby's and his computer is up against that wall the other side. All my internal walls are just a matter of a wooden frame with a sheet of plaster board fastened each side to make the dividing wall.

I've already got an Ethernet cable in the back of the router long enough to reach, I'm connected via Ethernet cable already. I think he'd prefer the better connection as he does lose his connection at times plus it would be a faster one for him.

Thanks boys we'll probably go that route, wish me luck, fancy him getting the 64 bit machine

Joan, about hubby's old XP files: Could you simply transfer them over the network when new machine is up and running?

At present we don't have a network set up, well not in the way of sharing files between machines only sharing the Internet connection. When the new machine is up and running the old one will be disconnected and it's monitor will be on the new machine so wouldn't be able to see the XP to do anything with it.

Time for my iPhone 4 to restore to original settings as somehow, phone got seriously mad and not function correctly (turns on for couple of seconds, then it turns off it self. I'm sure the battery is full).

Losing all of my 1000+ songs, movies, apps, etc... :X
Feel gutted... should've made a backup!
