Been sick for the past few days which is why I've been unable to post much. I have either a bad case of gastro or food poisoning. I've had a high temperature and very painful stomach aches constantly since about Thursday morning. The results of the test come on Monday, hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Lower right quad stomach pain?
If blood test come back with high white count could be appendicitis.
Been there and done that...
Take care and hopefully it was just some bad food.

Thanks Dennis, Randy and Bill. Feeling a bit better now, I should be up and about tomorrow. And it doesn't look like anything to do with my appendix but I can't be sure. Test results come tomorrow so hopefully that can shed some light. :huh:

GEFORCE 280.26 DRIVER

Navigated from NVIDIA Driver Downloads

Uninstall the old driver first, then install the new one.

If that doesn't help, then re-seat the graphics card. Clean if needed, check the fan.

Check with another graphics card if you have or can borrow one.

OK, got the new driver installed just fine, and it made no difference. Pulled the case out, and the card is securely in place , and the fan is spinning freely. I've never removed a graphics card, and this is is securely enough in position that I did not try to remove it.

So, it looks like I will be without it for a while....in a week or so my father will be visiting my aunt and uncle, and bringing my sister's computer to my uncle, and now it appears he'll be bringing my computer too. I don't know if he'd be able to get both done in the couple of days that my dad will be there, so I guess this little computer will be my primary unit for a while.
Good thing I have it though....or I'd be using the ancient XP dinosaur that makes this netbook look awesome.

Was there any dust in there?
Sometimes a good cleaning will help.

There was some dust, but not as much as I thought there might have been. If I have some free time this week, I'll bring the tower downstairs where I have more room to look at it and potentially clean it better, but at this point I've kind of resigned myself to the inevitability of sending it out.

I vacuum-cleaned all of them.

And whoever took the mickey out of you for being Autistic is an idiot. Don't listen to them. I heard some guy being racist to a younger kid and I went crazy. I actually hit him hard in the stomach and winded him. I might have gone a bit over the top, but hey, he probably deserved it. I think. :sarc:

Today cleaning up after the pass of typhoon Nesat, couple of trees down at my place but no major damage.
Power is back after a 18 hour outage.
Still having strong wind and lots of rain.

So what's going on these days, well, I just purchased the pre-buy of Star Wars: The Old Republic- which is the first fully voice acted MMORPG, quite awesome. In the near future I'll get a new build of my computer, a quite good one.

Received a letter in the mail this morning regarding a job interview I attended last week offering me the head chefs job at a Gastro pub not to far from where I live. What's extra special is it's an increase in salary from the job I was made redundant from a month ago and less hours so I will still have lots of time to spend with the kids, which I have enjoyed immensely since been out of work.
Couldn't have come at a better time.

Would like to thank all those who offered a chin up when I was made redundant which helped spur me on to getting myself back out there.
