Today, is ANZAC Day.

For those who don't know, it is a day of remembrance that we honour the Australian and New Zealand forces that fought at Gallipoli in World War I. It now also broadly commemorates all soldiers who have died in peacekeeping operations and military operations for their country.

So, thank you to all the veterans who have fought bravely and the soldiers who are still fighting.

Lest we forget.

Today I'm hatching out a cold which I got from one of my friends. My nephew and his father are visiting over the weekend, so I hope they don't get the bugs! Also had a meeting with my PhD supervisor a short while ago. Need to revise some points of my introduction, then I am "free to go ahead", as she said, and can hand in the whole thing next year in summer. I was thinking of spring, but that might be too early; but next year is definitely the ultimate deadline for me, otherwise I'll sprout roots on the campus

Termites? Well, we don't have termites, but we do have an ant invasion at the moment, together with fruit flies and garden lizards

Yikes! Now that is something I cannot imagine. Want to get a life outside of campus once the doc is over (and if everything goes well...*looks nervous*)
