Today I lost my phone.

Don't worry, I've doen that before... twice. First time it was stolen so I bought a new phone. Then half a year later I lose the new phone. The week before though the old phone was returned. :sarc:

Check this crap out...today I got my tickets to see Van halen (for the 4th time.) It will be my 16yr old boys first concert( he likes old school rock and metal, go figure, eh?) and that's the only reason i'm blowing this money on it. ticketmaster has always been a ripoff, but it is laughable now. I mean, the convenience fees (even on the parking!), and then the order processing fee, what a crock of BS all of it is.

Wow, a $37 parking ticket? Isn't that optional, can't you just park outside and walk? :huh:

Today, we went to visit my mother in York, who's now on her own since my father died at the end of October last year. Lovely, bright sunny morning (needed my sunglasses on in the car). Had fish'n'chips at Wackers, and then had a wander round the City. It started to snow very lightly whilst I was out, but during the late afternoon whilst we were having tea and watching the first half of the England/Scotland rugby match from Murrayfield, it snowed more heavily. We decided to come home at just after quarter to 7, and it took us a good hour and three quarters (a good run is under an hour, so it was very nearly doubled). I think my maximum speed coming back was less than 35mph,and less than 20 in places. We now come via the A1237 (York Outer Ring Road), the A64, A1(M), A1, and the A638 into Doncaster (and vice-versa for going to York). We used to use the A19, but the way we come now avoids having to drive through the City centre. You would have thought, with these being main roads (certainly the A1(M) and A1 would be classed as main arterial routes), that the gritters and snowploughs would be out making the roads as safe as they could. But no, I didn't see a single one, except for just outside York (and then it was going in the opposite direction).
Where the hell were the gritters? :mad2:

Normally, at the sports arena's (which is what this really is), there is charges for parking unless you want to park your car in the middle of nowhere and walk up to a mile to get there.
This place is NOT somewhere that you want to leave your car away from the arena, trust me. I've been there once before, and it is NOT a nice looking neighborhood, and it's almost scary just driving TO the parking lot from the freeway.

Still though, That's a big ripoff for parking, and it's because of ticketmaster. When they have a basketball game there and you get cheap $30 tickets for that, there's no way people are paying $27 for parking (the 2 other options for parking, the other lots, were actually $37....$10 more than what I paid!)

Everyone seems to be fed up with all this snowing. You guys are lucky, we don't have any snow! At least you can make snowmen and snowballs and toboggan! Look on the bright side.

Well all we've had is rain all day and as the ground is already sodden it makes for large puddles everywhere.

We had a good amount of snow on the ground for the last couple weeks, but at least 75% of it has melted now, with above freezing temps over the last week+. I'm not complaining.

Must be someone in government named them a "convenience fee". Convenient for whom?

It does snow in India especially northern parts.In a place called Drass (Ladakh) the temperature dips to around -25 degree Celsius on average and is the second coldest inhabited place in the world.

Today I lost my phone.

would you believe ,
today i was in town with danny (3) in the buggy and i went to argos where i had an item reserved, when you reserve online you can recieve a txt on your phone with the reservation number, so in the shop when i filled out the slip with the reservation number i got out my phone to get the number. filled out the slip went to the counter paid and waited for the item to come to the counter.
went out and carried on with my days shopping and went home .
later i went to get my phone to realize i have left it in the shop.
|I wont find out if someone handed it in to the staff until tomorrow as it is sunday and the store was closed early.
so fingers crossed that some honest person found it and handed to the staff.
it has a password so no one can access it but i still have a few months left on the contract and i dont want to pay for something i no longer have.
