Today, 21st February , is the International Mother Language Day . The history of the day is associated with Bengali Language Movement , a history of self sacrificing for the right of language.

I am proud of the language that I speak .... and salute them who made the way.

Immortal shaheeds, we have not forgotten you, and never will .

Congrats for roughing it out and winning in the end! I am from the Southern part of India and i speak "telugu", so can i celebrate the day? Thanks for reminding me of the day's importance! Hey, my uncle was in the thick of the liberation and creation of Bangladesh! He was a Major in the Ordinance corps, so the arms,ammunition and food supply chain was under him! He was honored for the bravado!

As 21st Feb is "International" , as announced by UNESCO in the year 1999 , anybody can celebrate this day, for his mother language, so you too
