I am on leaves from tomorrow till the whole next week. Yes, its my 1st anniversary on the 6th of this month.
Thinking of gifting her something nice... But i am running out of ideas.

To all the married men out here: what did you do to make your 1st wedding anniversary special for her?

We old pharts are too old and married too long to remember.

I actually do not remember and I am sure not asking my wife.
1975 was a long time ago.

First year we were separated due to we were both in the Air Force. She was in England and I was in Texas.
So I sent her a mushy Hallmark card.

My suggestion would be flowers and take her out to dinner.

I think the 1st Anniversary is traditionally celebrated with something paper. Like Mike I can't remember that far back it was the year after him 1976, but that was the second time the first was in 1964.

As ours is in December we're too busy with thinking about Christmas to bother with wedding anniversaries.

Whatever you do I'm sure it will be appreciated.

having free time together.
Young people have to work so hard and quite often different schedules.. they rarely get to go out anywhere, so enjoy this week.

Today I noticed the Daddy-Long-Legs spider are territorial.




I was watching one getting chased and hounded away from several others webs.

I also come up with a new game.

The Daddy-long-legs have a defence mechanism that is hilarious to watch. When threatened; they vibrate, shake and spin vigorously. I don't how it's supposed to deter predators, but it's bloody funny.

The game is to poke 7 or 8 and bet which one 'goes off' the longest. Repeated poking seems to piss off some more than others as the annoyed ones continue to 'go off' long after the others have stopped.

After several bouts of sporadic giggling, my partners curiosity got the better of her and she came to the toilet door to find out what was so amusing. I showed her - and soon there were two sets of giggles emanating from the toilet
