Haha....no.
Hard to explain, but the main idea of it is that I took out a wood burning fireplace that was built into the corner of the living room. The carpet was cut to fit the area around the fireplace. Now, since I took it out, there's a section in the corner( where the TV will be when i'm done) that has no carpet. So, rather than re-carpet the whole living room, i'm making my own wood floor for the corner.

Just now got done cutting the last two pieces of 1x12's. Will work on staining it Friday, and hopefully it will be done and in on Saturday.
The one issues is that I have to re-route the satellite wires. They came in roughly 2 feet from where the digital box would be, and they didn't leave much play for some reason, so I have to drill another hole, closer to the floor somewhere behind where the TV will be.

The ceiling is a whole other animal. A little more complicated, but still not the end of the world. Just a lot of work.



EDIT: This pic gives you an idea of what i've been up to lately. The boards are just loose fit, sitting there for now. They will be stained dark, lacquered, and secured. There will be a stand and a 42" TV on it, so any quirks won't be noticed really.

Ice-hockey World Championships, Day 13. Quarter finals. Slovakia send Canada home, Russia won over Norway, and now my dear, greatly missed and beloved Finland sent USA back to hotel to pack and go back home. We won 3 to 2, Team Finland's last, the winning goal 8 seconds before full time!

Later tonight last quarter final, Sweden meets Czech Republic. Semifinals on Saturday, finals on Sunday.

I've just added a new album of photo's of our badger to my profile. I took the photo's on my smartphone so some are a bit fuzzy, especially where I tried to zoom but most were taken with me standing in the opening of the doorway.

He is one of two who come round every night but his mate is very skittish and the slightest movement makes her run for it so I've not managed to get them both together yet, even though they've both been seen at the dish together.

I have to remember to take the suet block in at night or they take it and I find it broken apart at the bottom of next doors garden.:D
