Took a peek in the event viewer - what do these mean?

So I opened the event viewer for kicks and was presented with a crap load of warnings and a couple errors. My specs are:

Win7 64 Pro
i7 920 OC'ed to 3.7
6GB Ram
DX58SO motherboard
GTX275 GTX

I should have no problems with this hardware. Here are a couple of the warnings:

This startup service took longer than expected to startup, resulting in a performance degradation in the system start up process:

The Desktop Window Manager is experiencing heavy resource contention.
Scenario : Video memory resources are over-utilized and there is thrashing happening as a result. Reducing number of running programs and open windows may help resolve this condition.

1) Over a period of time, startup will get slower as more and more programs and services get installed, hard disk fragments and so on. But try updating your audio driver or rolling back to a previous one.

2) Windows seems to think that having user startup programs is a performance issue! But try to restrict the number of startup programs, and defrag your hard drive regularly. If you are comfortable with experimenting with services, try disable or set to manual those you dont use.

3) This seems like a display driver issue. Try turning off aero glass, that will disable DWM or just choose a Windows classic theme. Do you run WMC a lot?
