Torrent builds, The cause of many problems?

Just a thought, but is it possible many of the problems users have are caused by manipulated torrent builds?
I've read that many leaked releases contain malware, bots, and other unwanted whatever. Some may know how to locate these nuisances and remove them, while others download, install and jump on the net.
Do the leaked versions change often, not the version #, but little things within them? Another words, some one makes it available while tinkering with it making it unstable or problematic, then makes that newly modified version the one for download?

The problem I see with 70% of torrent builds is that the person downloading them does not understand that its not a complete product or any other "pirated software" could have been changed. So they install it let what ever is on it run is evil path then say the product is no good to anyone that listen when they had a deeper issue of some unwanted code running in the back ground.
It all goes under the saying you get what you paid for.
I wish i would've saved the link I was sent a link to a blog where a guy installed a torrented copy of Windows 7 that deleted everything one his drives, He blamed Microsoft for the problem and stated he would never buy a PC again. To me its people that dont take the time to check the Hash or even just go to the real website to get their copy and have the problems created by their own mistakes.
Im done with the rant, but to answer your question some things do get changed in each release/leaked version. If you read around this forum you will see many notes on what each one has and what it has fixed. These guys around here are also are able to tell you what one is real from the fakes when a new build is out.

General law is while downloading from the torrents go for the highest seeded torrent and not for any other, that commonly saves u from lot of hassle and downloading a fake one...

And check the comments, usually if it has negative comments in it, click that back button, and keep looking , and dont forget the Hash checks

While it is possible that people are using malware infected torrents, the issues would be different to what we are seeing in the forum IMO. There will always be issues with torrent files possible being infected but that's a chance we all seem to take

I know this is bad, but I had got my version of Windows 7 from a torrent because it was no longer available on the Microsoft website. I have had no problem with it for as long as I've had it. Also, it is generally good to go for something with a large number of seeders, comments, and ratings.

I would, but I already have a partition set up for Windows 7 because the main OS I had was XP.

My concern is that some of the torrent builds could be modified to cause little bug's and inconsistencies. Even if it is clean from harmful malware, its modified in a way to cause problems that are not found in MS's RC, making people nuts thinking its MS's fault when it has nothing to do with the official Win7 OS.

Well, the version of Win7 that I have I downloaded via torrents because when I got introduced to Win7 Micro soft no longer offered the downloads on the site. That was version 7048, and it had no Malware/viruses inside of it.
I also downloaded my RC1 via torrents as well, and no viruses at all, the only things different between it and RC's offered by MS is that the watermark is gone, the send feedback is gone, and in the context menus, Copy to and Move to were added. I just used a product key offered by MS via my hotmail email, and is well.

Yes, that is true there could be bugs. But you know that the OS is legit due to the Install screen, key input, and all features described in websites match up. Also, it is after all, just a test run for the final OS.
