Transfer Files between Win7/Mac via LAN

Hi,

I have two separate IP's one is he physical Local ip address and other is Internet ip address.
I have another friend who uses same ISP as mine and so we are connected by LAN.

For trasnferring files between 2 pcs i use HFS [ HFS ~ HTTP File Server ]
which is really really easy.. but only for windows platform.

I just drag and drop files and my friend connects via IE using http://mylocal.ip.address
and he can download the dropped files.
In the same way i download from him.
we download over LAN so the speed is alwways around 10 MBps.

But recently he got a new MAC PC.. and HFS does not work in mac altho he can download from me easily.
Is there any other software for mac to transfer files via IE or something over lan with really easy interface like HFS..

Please any suggestions are welcome..

I tried using filezilla but i had no clue how to or what does it do.. also i tried CC file share but it just shows ny inetrnet ip for connection and im unable to drag drop files.

Plzz help..

i dont have my mac in front of me right now, but i believe if you go to the system settings -> sharing. there should be something in there to allow this to work.

Like I said though, I dont have my mac in front of me, but its worth a shot to look at this.

The connection is between my windows- lan - switch/router - lan/ethernet - frnds MAC.

So i don have a mac in front me..

If someone can suggest me a software like/similar to HFS [in 1st post] or better for MAC system..
