Nine one Ralph, I take it you got the bios thing sorted out in the end?

Used open hardware monitor which has manual Fan control. VERY lightweight program which starts up with windows. It is not a *solution* rather a patch, until I find a solution. But I ordered a new motherboard and cpu today and will most likely order a new gpu as well. So I will probably let it be. Idle temps are 18-24C, under load around 30-35C and I have the twin fans set to 50%.

Cool, can I ask, did you reinstall the nvidia drivers after you changed the bios, I think that is essential.

After overclocking my gtx660 I was amazed at the jump in my score. Even though it does not even come close to the top scores, I, as a non-PC gamer am proud of myself. And I think that's all that matters.

Yeah drivers reinstalled. As long as the fans work I am happy. A lot of people use apps like speedfan to manually control their fan speeds so it's no biggie, and my boost has gone up 200Mhz

I know right looks like DX9 and DX10 are bad for ATI's Health unless it's a DX9 OR 10 card

It kind of takes the fun out of it when you are watching the artifacts starting and holding your breath it will make it to the end of the test only to find it crashes right at the end lol
