I'm actually shocked your scores are so low Brian. I suspect it's due to Tropics being a very old benchmark and not really using new technology. You didn't beat me and Steve in the single card scores by much either.

OCing only raised my score 53 points.

I see no point in OCing a video card

Could be the Drivers too

I beat everyone, just like a Ti should, you guys have Classifieds and Extreme cpu`s your scores should be high

There`s nothing I can do about the drivers, everyone whines about them, I don`t have any issues with them, games have never crashed with 353.30

I`m not into OCing a video card, as long as the games play great, and they do

He lurks now and then. Some of the Nvidia Control Panel will yield more points without OCing

With all things created equal I would agree 100%.


Not being familiar with this benchmark it’s quite possible it does not take full advantage of the extra CUDA cores and fill rate the Ti has over the non Ti version. Also, if you search the web you will find a few benchmarks where a 980 SLI is very close if not on par with a 980 Ti SLI.

We are also only benchmarking at 1080p – raise the resolution and I would bet our scores would not be so close!

Ya, there is probably things about the Ti I`m not taking advantage of, but a higher resolution monitor will have to wait, but I`m looking at this one. Not a higher resolution just a better monitor.

How high is the OC on the CPU and GPU core /mem

19% cpu around 60 % clocks on gpu otherwise driver crashes with anymore

Sounds like you need to bump up the voltage is yours locked ?

This is a screen shot of my settings from AB my settings aren't that high right now though

when i did firestrike core was 181/mem 300 power all the way 112 temp 88

and overvolted to 70
