Hello, and thanks for some advice! I like to use a VPN when I'm online. Let's call it GENERIC VPN. When I log onto my internet, my network settings say "GENERIC VPN - Internet access". Today I logged off my internet and then logged back on. When I turned my VPN back on, my network settings now say "GENERIC VPN 2 - Internet access" with a 2 at the end. I did a test and turned my internet off and on again, and when I turned my VPN back on, now it says "GENERIC VPN 3" with a 3 at the end. I'm still getting internet access, and my VPN says it's working fine, I'm just concerned that I've made a mistake with my system and unknowingly set up multiple connections which might mess things up. Is there a way to clean up or modify these selections so I can go back to "GENERIC VPN" without a number at the end? What am I doing wrong that makes my computer think I want a new version of my VPN? Does this extra number at the end even matter? I just want to make sure that my system is running optimally, and that I didn't mess anything up. I don't want to create a new network link every time I log off.
Thank you very much!!!
