Hi.
In the last few days I was searching the internet, tring to find solution to my problem - but no avail.
My problem is with the 'Windows Network Diagnostic' tool.
Every time I launch it - it came back with "Troubleshooting couln't idetify the problem". To see the real results, I need to click on "view detailed information" link to the lower left.
Even when I've no problem w/ the network ("no issues found" in the troubleshooting language) - I've got the "Troubleshooting couln't idetify the problem".
From deep research on the internet, I've found only this: Troubleshooting the Network Troubleshooting Utility / After-Sleep Connection Problems
but no answer given there.

I'll be happy if some1 can "Identify the problem" over here...:D

What problem are you troubleshooting that you need the guide for?

Well, that's the thing.
I don't have any specific problem right now, beside the one with the throubleshooter.
But I don't want every time I'll have a problem, to be needed to click on 'view detailed information' instead of the troubleshooter will give it to me stright away.

Thanks.

I have found the troubleshooter to be almost useless at the best of times. I usually google the problem.

Sorry I cant help

Good Luck

Thank you.
Actually, I'm not trusting the troubleshooter so much to solve the problem, but I just want it to identify it for me. Then google will kick in..:D

TY anyway.

Since there is no problem, the Trouble Shooter is telling you it can't find anything wrong. Why would you expect it to say anything else?

Well, that not accurate.
When there's no problems, the troubleshooter usally give you "No issues found" message. Mine give me "Troubleshooter Couldn't identify the problem", always.
Anyhow, just to prove this to you, the troubleshooter also give me this answer ("Troubleshooter Couldn't identify the problem") when there is a problem, such as Limited connection or so...

I just ran it and I also get "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem". This is via

Control Panel, Troubleshooting, Network and Internet, Internet Connections then Troubleshoot my connection to the Internet.

I have run this troubleshooter a number of times when I have problems and I ALWAYS get this message...so I stopped using it. I go to google instead and find my solutions through my own search results. I would like to know if the Windows troubleshooter can actually work at all? Has anyone ever found it to find a solution to anything and fixed it?

microcrap troubleshooter is completely useless

Before using the microcrap troubleshooter...
you might as well try to solve the issue you may have with a set of 30 weight ball bearings and a package of number 2 pencils....
as those will do you as much good as this completely worthless feature.
it always reminds me of windows updates. ..Which are actually less than worthless...cause they only make things that once worked perfectly....no longer work.

Since I first starting using windows...back in 1999, I have never had a single update ever actually fix anything.
...but it's pretty much guaranteed that something that did work....suddenly won't
...your printer won't work.
...your game is no longer compatable...
...the list is endless.

and...the troubleshooter has never helped once in 16 years either...
I never even know why I still get suckered in to actually trying it again every so often when I know the odds of it working are slimmer than me putting super unleaded in a rental car...or making my own bed at a hotel.

wese
My experience has been different. Various troubleshooters have helped, especially in the networking area though under Windows 8.1, not Windows 7. As I said back in 2011 when this thread was active, in this specific case it did not help, nut it has in some cases so I continue to use them and hope.

Updates have fixed some problems for me and almost never caused me a problem, almost being the keyword there :)
