I need to access d:\inetpub\wwwroot on my windows 7 machine from my xp box.
I have shared the folder as \\win7machine\wwwroot
Trying to map the network drive, I have tried to browse the workgroup. I can see win7machine in the workgroup, but clicking the plus button shows nothing. I have tried to connect using different credentials, \\win7machine\myname and the proper password, and then browse the network, same thing.
Typing in \\win7machine\wwwroot for the path with the 7 machine credentials says it can't be found.
I can't find out how to add an xp user to the seven machine.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
