Hello I am trying to get a clean install of Windows 7 on my new SSD. I disconnected my old hard drive, placed the DVD in, pressed any key, got the download bar saying windows etc etc. When the download bar finishes I get to the screen that is shown on step 3. Thing is I only see the background and my mouse, I dont get the install windows box. Then after a few seconds my computer reboots to the download bar and the process goes on infinitely.

Could this possibly be due to me being connected through an Nvidia card? Being that Im running only the empty ssd and not the hard drive with the graphics card installed on it that maybe there is a graphical glitch?

OR is it possibly due to me not setting up the SSD properly? I have assigned the SSD a spot, but I am unsure if I need to go through more steps. Thank you guys in advance

It has nothing to do with the video card, but you should be installing hooked up to the motherboard directly.

You DO NOT want the other drive hooked up, so leave it that way. (no other drives should be hooked up, just pull the power cable)

I always setup my drives with a Partition Wizard Boot CD, that is just my personal choice.

Bootable Partition Manger | MiniTool Partition Wizard Bootable Edition

You can also use Diskpart, but for a novice the PW Boot CD is sooo much easier.

Although, Diskpart is very, very simple :)
