I have been trying to do this for the past 3 days, I have a Toshiba laptop that a few years ago the hdd died on taking my restore disks with it, now a friend of mine wants it but I want to remake the restore partition along with the image of a fully installed windows os with drivers and preloaded apps, I have been using Norton Ghost 2003 to try to make a full image of the HDD but when I restore it I get errors when trying to load, mind you I am trying this in virtual box first so I do not ruin what I already have running. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thus far I have tried making a back up of a windows install then booting into Norton ghost 2003 and restoring that full HDD image, It will not work, every time I try to boot it after restore I get an error that is up for a few seconds and virtual box then closes the active window.

Again any information on this will help me alot.
