TWO PROBLEMS-urgent help needed

My default gateway number is 0.0.0.0 which my playstation refuse to accept. I am trying to connect a ps3 to the internet(3G-DONGLE) through a laptop using an Ethernet cable. I did the cmd + ipconfig/all. So I'm 100% sure it's the default gateway number.

Problem number 2 is that the ip address changes every time I do a ipconfig/all check which annoys the living hell out of me..lol

I hope to find some answers on here. Oh I am on Windows 7(Home Basic)

Are you getting that address from a dchp server, or was it manually entered?

As long as your laptop has internet access then you need to setup ICS to enable your ps3 to connect though it. After you get it setup you will have your PS3 automatically detect the settings.

The problem is that the Local Area Connection Network does not have the drop down bar where you can chose the e.g Wireless Network Connection.

Edit: What is ICS? Sorry you dealing with a complete computer noob.

Have you installed the drivers for the device? Can you access the internet from your laptop?

This is the laptop I am using. Device as in the 3G dongle? You dont need software. I believe the software is on the 3G itself.

The tutorial you posted seems to be sharing between 2 computers.

I am trying to make use of a ps3proxy.

Edit: Not to sound pushy ,but you still haven't answer my question as to why the pc is having not having a default gateway number, which i think might be the problem.
The ps3 is giving me this dns error code 807101202.

Yes its connected, but are you connected to the internet from the dongle.


type in the command:
ipconfig /all > c:\ipconfig.txt

Then navigate to c:\ and attach the txt file to your next reply.
