Is it possible to uninstall the media player that comes with win 7 pro? It's worthless to me and it takes up space.

The software is integrated in to the Operating System.
Open up Programs and Features and hit Turn Windows features on or off.

From there you should be able to select Windows Media Player underneath the Media section and have the Operating System remove what it can.
