I have a Samsung NP530E5M (Series 5 Notebook NP530E5M | Owner Information & Support | Samsung US) laptop I've recently installed Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit on, and after a few weeks of use, I can no longer boot windows properly, instead getting a brief flash of an UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME BSOD before being kicked back to the boot screen, kicking me back to the "Windows Error Recovery" menu.
Most of the advice regarding this BSOD seems to revolve around using the install media used to install windows to access the command line and repair windows through there. However, even using the exact same USB I used to install windows on that laptop, I get an empty, black screen after the "Loading files" sequence. In addition:

The "Launch Startup Repair" option does not work, instead again in a black screen after the "Windows is Loading Files" screen. "Repair your computer" off the advanced boot options menu acts the same way.

Safe Mode does not work either, getting as far as loading "\windows\system32\drivers\CLASSPNP.sys" before returning the same bluescreen.

"Last known good configuration" booted into the same BSOD before disappearing from the advanced boot options menu.

I can access the "Edit Boot Options" menu. The default value boots into the same BSOD. Perhaps this can be used to work around the issue?

The memory diagnostic tool detected no problems after 2 passes with the default options. After finishing, it boots into the same BSOD.

Samsung's Recovery Tool loads, then drops me into a pale blue screen with only the cursor visible.

I can however boot into a Linux LiveCD (under UEFI), and access the windows partition that way. Not sure what to do at that point. Of note, I couldn't find the Ntbtlog.txt file that should've been created during safe mode.
So with that, I'm stumped :banghead:. I've spent 3 days trying to get this thing back up and running to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. The error suggest a error with the hard drive boot sector if you can boot from usb run a full disk check it may be worth going to disk makers site and download their disk test. You haven't changed anything like uefi or other disk settings

Hey, thanks for the advice. I was able to run badblocks on the harddrive off the Linux liveCD, the boot partition was clear but the main windows partition was riddled with a number of bad sectors. Will have to get a new drive soon, but I still want to get the computer running properly for now. In any case, even after running ntfsfix I was still unable to boot due to the BSOD. The installation disk only gives a black void with a mouse cursor, and the repair disk simply black screens.
Gah.

The key is to get a new disk and do a clean install on no account try to clone the drive as it will write the bad blocks to a new disk and can't be undone.

Your only option is to use Linux to get any data off you need a ssd drive is very cheap
