unable detect fingerprint reader

hi i just bought an acer 8930 laptop but it has windows vista installed ive set up a dual boot with windows 7 but having problems getting acer bio protection working i cant seem to get the right drivers only vista and they dont work ;-// just hoping someone else has had same probelm but got it fixed some how.
do i have to use acer bio prection driver or will fingerprint reader work with other software?? any help much appreeciated i kinda like the fingerprint scan option

Hi darrenE, welcome to the forums, use the vista driver you have in compatibility mode http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html If it works in vista it should work in win7
