Solved Unable to connect: Additional information may be required error.

Hello

So, I log on to my PC to find this error, and I tryed to fix it with regedit and with help from the internet. Nothing worked. I can't access the internet and I don't know why it happened.

I also attempted to reinstall the drivers from the Dell website.

Set your dns to 1.1.1.1 & 1.0.0.1 everything is coreect from cmd prompt type

All your setting are correct the trace gets as far as the router so it tends to suggest the router isnt connecting can you login to the router and make sure it is connected some routers let you test the connection make sure there arent and mac address filtering set

I don't have the credentials. And I don't think it's the router or hardware.

Yes. My router is actually owned by someone else, and they won't hand over the password to the router controls

So no one else can use the router? You get correct Ip etc and trace shows it goes as far as the router so it suggests the router has mac filtering or other connections setting ask the owner specially if you pay for it

No. Everyone can use it. It's owned by an ISP

Edit: Well, I asked the owner to restart it. The request was declined. I tryed to connect to the same network with another device and nothing will load. Thanks for helping.

Some isp require you too register your mac address or limit the number of connections check with them

It does seem to be router do you pay for contacting. The only real test is connect pc to another network to prove its not at fault. It would indicate they have Mac filters on which only let registered pc get online
