Unable to download needed* upgrade drivers. HELP!

Today is my first day on Window's 7 and I've been having problems with it all day.

I get the "Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver version 181.71..." so I download the propper drivers and it won't let me open it.

This is what it looks like:

I can't find the file location either.

Also, not only does that not work but my NVIDIA Control Panel does not work. I double click, the loading circle comes up for 3 seconds and then disappears.

I can't just not download drivers, it's any .exe file.

I am not good with computers so if you explain it, please, explain it to me like I am a two year old learning to put together sentences.

I tried doing a "save as" and made the setup.exe for a program go onto my desktop. I watched it the whole time then when it was done downloading it vanished and I couldn't click the .exe.

Hellllllllp.

I'd check your system for Viruses and Malware first and foremost....
