Solved Unable to find scanned pics ?

Hi I've got an All-in-One printer, scanner and copier HP PSC 1400 series which was updated automatically from my old XP console after I'd bought and set up my current laptop Win7 64 bit.

I had to use it yesterday for the first time and all seemed well after I'd scanned 4 pics and clicked on Save. However I've since looked everywhere for them but can't find them anywhere because thinking back there was curiously no destination file box to choose from originally.

Much appreciate any help as to where to look thanks !

Possible in the Folder (directory) that contains the scanner software.

Thanks unfortunately not a techie. Where would I find Folder (directory) ?

Look in C:\Users\*Your user name*\Pictures

There may be a folder called Scanned.

Thanks nothing there. I think there must be something important missing for there not to be a destination folder on the same page as Save....?

You might try reinstalling the HP software

Look in the "Program files" folder in the root of "C\:" for the HP folder, that may contain a folder for scans.

Thanks for the help all sorted at last.

For the record it turned out that soon after I bought the laptop 4/5 months ago (Presario CQ 56) a download to my 6/7 year old printer/ copier/ scanner happened almost immediately and unexpectedly, presumably still being preset to my previous XP console. Anyway I finally gave up in the end and downloaded the latest driver which thankfully all went like clockwork with the scanner now working fine.

What I don't understand though is why the faulty and timewasting download was necessary in the first place ?

Any ideas.... ?
