Solved Unable to Install Chrome or Firefox (FF)

Win 7 Prem, 32bit, Sony laptop, IE9, Kaspersky Internet Security


After several attempts, I am unable to install Chrome or FF. The file downloads but will not run. I have attempted to install from Run and Save and execute from downloads folder. Also tried with Revo Installer. Cleaned cookies, cache, etc.

My main concern and that I have a virus, spyware, etc preventing the download. I do not desire to disable KIS to download. KIS shows no program being blocked.

Also tried to download Java and was not successful. Seems I can't download any programs.

I am very content with IE9, but like to walk on the wild side ever so often.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks !

After several attempts, I finally was able to download chrome. Not sure what the problem may have been ?
