Unable to Install Win 7 on Hier Y11B (Core™ M-5Y10c)

Hello There, Hope u all will be fine...

I have a notebook Haier Y11b with Win 8.1 64bit preinstalled. I want to use Dual boot with Windows 7 32bit.

The problem is when i try to boot from a Win 7 32 bit bootable USB. it hangs on boot logo (Screen shot attached).


The same problem occurred when tried to install Win 8/8.1 32 bit.

Installing Win 8/8.1 64 bit goes fine.

Here are the specs:

Processor: Core™ M-5Y10c
RAM: 4GB
OS Installed: Win 8.1 64 pro


Anybody have some solution/suggestion about it??? Waiting for your precious guidance..

Is your disk a UEFI-GPT ?
Win7 32 can't be installed on a GPT drive, only Win7 64.
Open Disk manager, expand the columns and, with snipping tool, take a snapshot.
Post here as an attachment.

Disk 0 is a UEFI-GPT disk. Disk 1 probably is also a UEFI-GPT disk.

You wont be able to install Win 7 32 on this laptop. Win7 32 can't be installed on a UEFI - GPT

Disk 0 is a small SSD (32G) and has part of the OS.
Disk 1 is a HDD that has some of the OS and a data partition.

There may be a solution. Going to think about.

The Hier Y11B is a very particular Laptop as it can work as a laptop and as a tablet.
The SSD is on the screen (top) part and the HDD is on the keyboard (bottom) part.
You don't have space on the SSD to install win 7 64 and on the HDD it won't work when you use as a tablet.
If you try to install Win 7 it can ruin your machine, so my advice to you is to enjoy as it is.

I HAVE same laptop tablet with win 10 edu.
the problem is when i was trying to extend c drive which contain 28 gb there was un clickable option of extend.
my c drive were gpt and others apr .
i got help from YouTube VIDEOS USED aomei partition assistant professional edition to extend but fails some methods but then found videos convert apr to gpt.
i converted d drive apr to gpt then tried to extend but fails i return d drive gpt to apr then i thought convert c drive gpt to apr might help which installed win 10 when i tried aomei partition assistant professional edition says success but it requires reboot to see effect. i restart it now it showing just pm logo or american megatrends says that press <ESC> to enter setup.

please help me Bro Megahertz07 im so worried.

As mentioned, the Hier Y11B is a very particular Laptop as it can work as a laptop and as a tablet.

If you try to install Win 7 it can ruin your machine, so my advice to you is to enjoy as it is.

- Before you mess your system, you should do the Factory restore disks (read the manual) so if something goes terrible wrong, you can restore to default.
- Make an image of your disks. Use Macrium Software | Your image is everything
- Best partition manager - MiniTool Free Partition Manager for Window 8/7/vista/xp | Partition Wizard Free Edition

Bro my laptop is not opening just showing American megatrends press esc to enter setup nothing else so how can I use these kinds of softs?

Try to do a factory recover from BIOS (if the recovery partition is still on the disk). If you cleaned the disk, use the recovery disks.
